The complexities  of multisystem disease and the requirements for multidisciplinary care will be discussed. The political difficulties of setting up the unit and maintaining funding will be covered. Finally recent life changing therapeutic advances will be considered.\n\nLearning objectives:\n\nCystic fibrosis is an inherited genetic disease (autosomal recessive).
