She is also President of the Medical Women’s Federation and the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund.\n\nA former President of the Royal College of Physicians, Dame Jane has made significant contributions to medical education, particularly in assessment and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). She led the Department of Health and Social Care’s landmark review into the Gender Pay Gap in Medicine and now chairs its implementation advisory group.\n\nHer academic work includes pioneering the UK’s first Clinical Skills Centre and co-authoring the widely used GALS screen for musculoskeletal examination.
