Any healthcare facility with unplanned urgent care services should have a plan in place in case of a patient presenting with a suspected HCID, to minimize infection spread to staff and other patients. This talk will summarise when to suspect HCID in a febrile child, next steps to take once HCID is suspected, and the unique considerations when you plan for their assessment and management.
