This presentation explores the evolution of paediatric curricula and assessments, highlighting how educational theory directly informs clinical competence and patient safety.\n\nBy weaving together John Biggs’ principle of Constructive Alignment, Bloom’s Taxonomy of cognitive depth, and Miller’s Pyramid of clinical performance, the session illustrates how to bridge the gap between textbook learning and real-world ward practice. She will discuss leadership challenges that she has faced over her career and how she overcame them. She will link these to key leadership principles and styles. She will discuss the role of advocacy and driving organisational cultural change.
