Call for abstracts - Odontology Alan Hilton Presentations - Closing date extended: 17th October 2025

Are you a passionate dental professional with research, audit, or service evaluation work to share?

The Section of Odontology invites you to apply for the Alan Hilton Presentations, a celebrated annual event honouring the legacy of Alan Hilton—an esteemed member and past President of both the Section (1959) and the Manchester Medical Society (1968).

Since its inception in 1986, this event has showcased outstanding work from dental professionals across the North West. Winners’ names are proudly displayed on a board at the Dental School—a lasting tribute to excellence.

The papers selected will be presented by the authors at an evening FACE TO FACE meeting on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. This is an opportunity for younger members of the Section to gain experience in the presentation of papers.  Papers on dental research, audit and service evaluation subjects are invited from General Dental Practitioners, Community Dentists, Hospital Practitioners, Staff Grade, DCTs and University Dentists (up to and including the grade of Specialist Registrar and Lecturer).
