AGM & Presidential Address of Mr Vikas Kapoor, Honorary Senior Lecturer, Consultant Spinal Surgeon, Stepping Hill Hospital:
"My consultant journey over the last two decades- what have I learnt"

Mr Kapoor is an experienced and internationally renowned spinal surgeon with over 32 years of medical experience, over 19 years of which he has spent as a qualified consultant in the North West.
During his training, Mr Kapoor received a combination of multidisciplinary and sub-specialist training from leading neurosurgeons and orthopaedic surgeons across the UK (from the south coast to the north west) in order to develop the best possible expertise and techniques.
His NHS practice is based at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, where he is the senior spinal surgeon and clinical lead. He has academic commitments to the MCh clinical training programme and is an honorary senior clinical lecturer for Edge Hill University.
He has a subspecialist interest in minimally invasive spinal surgery.
