Main Society
Manchester Medical Society was formed in 1834 and has a long history of supporting the learning and education of healthcare professionals. The Council function as the management committee and as Trustees of the Society.
The main Society is central to the activities of Manchester Medical Society and holds four meetings a year which have a broad appeal.
The incoming President of MMS holds a symposium in the Autumn reflecting their interests and expertise. There is a popular Christmas Lecture for Young People to which students in local secondary education establishments are invited. The named Telford and Wilkinson Lectures address key issues in healthcare.
