Synopsis:

This talk will provide an overview of the current landscape of chronic viral hepatitis (B and C) with a focus on diagnostic strategies, treatment advances, and public health approaches to elimination. Drawing on national and international guidelines and local experience from Manchester, the session will highlight ongoing challenges in reaching underserved populations and offer practical insights into service development and clinical management.

  • To understand current diagnostic and treatment pathways for chronic hepatitis B and C.
  • To review the key challenges and opportunities in achieving hepatitis elimination targets.
  • To explore approaches for improving engagement and care of under-served patient groups.
