Travelling by car: From the South (Cheshire, Staffordshire) Using M6: Leave the M6 northbound at J19, follow the signs for A556 Manchester Airport. Follow the A556 for about 4 miles until you reach the major roundabout junction with the M56. Follow the M56 eastbound in the direction of Stockport and airport.
†Continue past the Airport exit, then turn off at J3 (follow the signs for M60 S E, Stockport) which eventually leads onto the M60. Take the exit at J1 signed A34 Manchester City Centre and Didsbury. Get into the right-hand lane, turn right at the traffic lights by the Gateway pub onto Manchester Road. The Alexandra Hospital is about 800 yards on the right.
From the North (Lancashire) - Using M6: Follow the M6 southbound towards Birmingham. Take the exit at J20a, follow the signs for the M56. Follow the M56 eastbound, direction of Stockport and Manchester Airport. Then follow the directions from† (see above)
