📢 Call for Abstracts – Closes Thursday 10th September 2026
The Manchester Medical Society Section of Paediatrics is inviting abstract submissions for presentation at its Annual Meeting and AGM, taking place face-to-face on Wednesday 14th October 2026.
We welcome submissions from medical students, trainees, SAS doctors, paediatricians and allied health professionals whose work relates to child health and is based on work undertaken in the North West of England.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work, gain presentation experience, share learning with colleagues from across the region and contribute to the advancement of paediatric practice.
👥 Who Can Apply?
We welcome submissions from:
• Medical students (including APEP, QePEP or self-arranged projects)
• Trainees
• SAS Doctors
• Paediatricians
• Allied Health Professionals
🏆 Presentations and Prizes
Accepted abstracts will be selected for either:
• Oral presentation
• Poster presentation - Poster size: A1
💷 £100 prize for the best oral presentation
📝 Abstract Guidance
• Maximum 500 words
• TITLE IN CAPITALS
• Include author names and addresses (underline the presenting author)
• Must include:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Selection based on scientific quality.
Submissions must relate to child health and be based on work undertaken in the North West of England.
